As a retired professor from Kendall College of Art & Design and Ferris State University, Sandi Lummen uses her skills of color, design and composition to paint light on the Michigan landscape. Her strong connection to the landscape began on a farm in Ionia County and continued with visits to Leelanau. The fields planted by her ancestors resonate and she is interested in the fragility of our environment. Sandi uses solvent-free oil paints, respectful of her own health and that of our lovely green planet
Sandi Lummen’s landscapes are on exhibit at the J. Petter Galleries. Please visit us to view her work and the artwork of over sixty other fine artists in our gallery. See our Events page to find out when special openings and artists’ visits are happening.
